RECAP project dissemination event took place at the INSPIRE conference
On September 19th, the final seminar of the international project "Personalized public services in support of the implementation of the CAP" ("RECAP project"), funded by the Horizon 2020 programme, took place in Antwerp, Belgium. The event was held at the INSPIRE conference organised in cooperation with the European Commission (EC). The Directive 2007/2 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing the Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE) is also intended to promote and speed up the digitization process across Europe.
During the workshop, the RECAP project partners from Greece, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Spain and Serbia presented to the general public the results of the initiative. The presentations comprised solutions implemented within the framework of the project to ensure effective and transparent monitoring of cross compliance in accordance with the requirements of the Common Agricultural Policy (automated control platform providing electronic services on the basis of the Copernicus programme satellite data) and lessons learned during the implementation of the RECAP project.
The workshop presentations highlighted not only the environmental significance of the project, but also the possibilities of easing the administrative burden related to the EU area-based support for farmers and paying agencies by using the innovative remote control tool – the electronic services platform, based on algorithm derived from Sentinel-2 data.
