For your information – the NPA annual report 2017
The National Paying Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture (NPA) is the only accredited institution, administering the EU and national support for agriculture, rural development and fisheries.
Each year the NPA pays out the amount of support comprising over 900 million euros, designated for farmers, rural entrepreneurs, fishermen, foresters.  Each year the NPA speeds up the payment process, and in 2017 the pace of paying out support became the fastest ever. By the end of 2017 the farmers received almost half a billion euros, for the current year having declared farming areas and livestock.
Last year there were as many as 36 calls by the NPA inviting to submit applications in accordance with the measures under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 (RDP). In 2017 in accordance with the RDP the amount of 328,7 million euros  was paid, which was almost by 25 million euros more than in 2016.
The NPA is the largest paying agency in Lithuania. Striving to improve its activities the institution is constantly introducing the latest achievements in modern technologies: the administration processes are  digitised and automated. As of 2017 the robotic process automation was introduced within the NPA:  a robot Robis NeMigA  involved in evaluating documents started working at the NPA. While using Sentinel images for controls of area-based measures the NPA initiated the idea of „support without application“, which will significantly reduce bureaucratic burden both for farmers and paying agencies. The goal is to implement the idea as of 2020. In 2017 the NPA was bestowed the award of the most proactive institution in Lithuania.
It is a pleasure to share with you the NPA Annual Report, which contains information about the achievements of the NPA in 2017.
